When I began this substack on on January 31 of this year, my intention was to share a vision I’ve had for more than a decade of a social system that balances individual sovereignty and global unity, which I named Fractal Sovereignty:
In the final paragraph, I admitted that I don’t understand the phenomenon of social virality, how novel ideas capture the attention of the mass consciousness.
I have pondered the problem of voluntary collective action coordination. The technology to support this already exists. The challenge is to inspire participation. I have observed the phenomenon of virality (e.g., memes “going viral”) but I still don’t understand how it works.
My whole life I’ve been mystified by how various fads take hold. Pet rocks, Beanie Babies, Mutant Ninja Turtles, Transformers, Pokémons. Who thinks up these things? I know there is a science to human mass psychology, as practiced by the likes of Edward Bernays, Freud’s nephew, but I only am able to understand how his campaigns worked in retrospect. For example, I would never have guessed that women could be tricked into smoking cigarettes as an act of liberation. And my brother, a designer, explained to me that automobile styles alternate between smooth curves and sharp edges by design. After enough years pass by, people can be convinced by marketers that smooth curves are the latest new style and therefore they must have them, even though a few years earlier they were considered passé. What? I just don’t get it.
But I went ahead anyway and proposed a practical implementation of Fractal Sovereignty which I named The Nexus:
I meant for these two articles to be documents subject to revision as people contributed feedback on a comment and discussion page added a few days later:
My hope was that a working group would form, including some people who do understand social virality. But alas, the articles gained no traction. In fact, there was a loss of interest over the week that the articles appeared. As of now the three pages have the following statistics:
Fractal Sovereignty: 514 views, 17 likes
The Nexus: 73 views, 4 likes
Comments and Discussion: 50 views, 2 likes
Although I’m not a psychologist or marketer, I do have experience in project management and software development, supported by a background in engineering and science, specifically complex systems. I was revved up, but no one came to the party. Oh, well.
Accordingly, I took a different tack and focused on being rather than doing, through writing about metaphysics and mysticism. However, I kept the doing track going by adding some articles in support of Fractal Sovereignty, hoping perhaps for a delayed reaction to the original article:
But I now believe that no system, no matter how clever or how sound, will solve humanity’s problems without an upgrade to the mass consciousness. I’m now certain that such an awakening is underway and so I will continue to concentrate my efforts in that area going forward. I leave the building of new systems for humanity to emerging leaders, and I applaud and support their efforts.
In particular, a relatively new initiative came to my attention yesterday which I heartily endorse as a significant step toward Fractal Sovereignty, to those of my subscribers who may have taken an interest in this substack because of my first article eight months ago. It is also endorsed by Catherine Austin Fitts, for whom I have great respect and have followed for many years. This initiative is named Global Walkout:
The architect of this movement understands crowd psychology much better than I do. The plan is to announce a sequence of steps, one each week on Sunday, 8 PM London time. There have already been five steps announced:
September 4: KEEP CASH ALIVE
September 11: REIGNITE FARMING
September 18: REIGNITE MSM
September 25: SUPPORTING SMALLER BANKS
October 2: SHARE YOUR FLAG
October 9: COMMUNITY DINNER TABLES AROUND THE WORLD
October 16: NO MORE SELF-CHECKOUTS OR QR CODES
October 23: WATCH THE NEW DOCUMENTARY ‘The real Anthony Fauci’
October 30: KEEP CASH ALIVE
November 6: RECAP STEPS 1-9
November 13: BOOST YOUR VITAMIN D
November 20: CURRICULUM AWARENESS WEEK
November 27: WITHDRAW AND REACH OUT
December 4: DIGITAL ID AWARENESS
Each step is simple and easy to understand, and is accompanied by media resources; translators are invited to assist in spreading the word. I like how it is packaged and I support all of the steps so far.
I don’t know if this movement will reach critical mass, but I hope it does because it could be just the “vaccine” humanity needs against the disease of “globalism.” From the Step 1 page:
We have the power…there are already enough of us…WE JUST NEED TO ACT IN UNISON.
Agreed! As I mentioned this in Good Samaritans:
But at least since the time of the original Good Samaritan, the good people of the Earth, only wanting to build a good life for their families and communities, have suffered the depravations of tyrants, despots and madmen. Have they not suffered enough? Will they finally join their strength and act as one to heal the world? If not now, then when? There is a spiritual principle that the power of a group with coherent intention increases exponentially with the size of the group. A majority is not needed, not nearly. “Come on people now, smile on your brother. Everybody get together, try and love one another right now. Right now. Right now.”
The last sentence about now being the time to come together was emphatically restated in my last article: The time is now.
I am reminded of what Tolstoy wrote in War and Peace, First Epilogue, Chapter 16:
Я хотел сказать только, что все мысли, которые имеют огромные последствия, — всегда просты. Вся моя мысль в том, что ежели люди порочные связаны между собой и составляют силу, то людям честным надо сделать только то же самое. Ведь так просто.
I was just going to say that all ideas that have a huge impact are always simple ones. And my idea comes down to this: if all the bad people can get together and show strength in unity, honest folk must do the same. You see – it’s as simple as that.
It’s as simple as that.
Now is the time.
PS I know of Fitt’s work, I get their emails, but I didn’t realize all that you did. The hour they do things is a bad one for me. I love the logo you shared and will review deeper. Thank you again!
Bravo. Thank you for persisting. Your ideas are good. Are you connected with some of the other idea-makers for a new better? Do you know of Brett Weinstein and his wife Heather Heying? Matthew Crawford? Matthew is here on substack, the others, two evolutionary biologists are on Odyssey and YouTube. Heather writes a substack but Brett is more into change like you’ve mentioned, from what I know. There are many others and as the movement you mentioned shows... we have to unite, keep uniting and unite again. There’s an old punk song “Get Up Again” and it energizes me. I have a youtube collection of ‘disytopian triggering music’ for people like us. We Are Here. We Are Collecting. Right Now.
